Filipino music is alive in this age of millenials ! And the 9-piece band called Ben&Ben is one of the rising stars spearheading today's OPM scene. Few months ago, I came across their music video of Maybe The Night  on YouTube. That was life-changing! Before that, I've only ever heard one song from them. It's called  Bibingka ,  a love song that was part of a Spotify Playlist for Pinoy Christmas songs. Back then, I didn't bother to look them up. While Bibingka was a good song with some catchy lines, it didn't strike that much appeal on me. But after watching their music videos and listening to their other tracks in Spotify ( Kathang Isip , Leaves , and Ride Home , to name some), I've completely fallen in love with them... seriously! Maybe The Night gave me a severe case of LSS. The lyrics were well-written and I can tell they came from a brain of pure talent and a heart of pure love. Ten years ago, this song came into my radar and instantly became one of my all-time favorites. I just loved the syncopated guitar arpeggio mixed with modern pop beat. Of course, Vanessa Hudgens' voice is nothing short of amazing. The lyrics didn't mean that much to me then, but I guess it does now. Last month, my brother got married with his girlfriend of 9 years. And for their wedding giveaway, he had me help him record his selected love songs and produce audio CDs. "Beautiful In White" was one of the songs my sister in law requested. I'd never been familiar with this one and only then I found out that this is one of the popular wedding songs for the the past few years (where have I been hiding???).  So I recorded the instrumental track, with some inspirations from Matt Johnson's cover . My brother sang the main vocals and then I added my own as backing vocals on the latter parts. Please check it out here and let me know what you think.

It's never to late to do blogging again - or that's what I'm telling myself to believe. I am trying to channel some energy to my "writer-wannabe" alter ego. This was supposed to have happened in 2011, but procrastination persisted. Now, it's 2017! Lots have happened to pretty much everything in the world. I'm in my 30's now as I write this and so much have come across my life. And as Stacie Orrico said in one of her pop hits, "there's gotta be more to life!". Indeed there is!
